It is with profound sadness that the family of Tracy Mae Greig announces her sudden passing at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on April 22, 2026.
She was the loving wife of Dave Lawrence, they were high school sweethearts and have been inseparable since May 1, 1993.
Tracy was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Barbara, her sister, Tammy, and her nephew Avery, Tammy’s son.
She will be sorely missed by her sister, Terry-Ann (Rick). As well as her brother-in-law’s Steve (Carla) and Andrew (Alicia).
She loved being an aunt, she will always be remembered by her cherished nieces and nephews, Ayvah, Adrian, Kailyn, Kiki, Tristin, Kody, Derian, Nathan, Kylie, and Paisley.
She adored her dogs, huskies, Dakota and Jasper; Jasper being a rescue and Tracy and Dave made sure they both had happy and caring homes.
Tracy had an incredible “Girl Group” of friends that will fondly remember their girls’ nights out, girls’ weekends at a cabin, and Black Friday shopping sprees. The time she had with these ladies was very important. They were a great support system for each other, especially whenever one was going through any times of need.
She and Dave spent a lot of time traveling, she loved to travel, whether by plane or cruises, or trips to a cottage. She loved being outdoors, hiking and being adventurous. Tracy enjoyed attending concerts, music, and loved a Disney Park adventure. She had a knack for interior decorating, every time they moved it gave her a blank canvas to start over with. Tracy took to scrapbooking and crafts, she has many scrapbooks she put all her love and effort into.
Tracy was a pure hearted person with a heart of gold. She was kind and caring, she was especially nurturing to her family and friends. Tracy loved life and nature, she was the type of woman who would rescue a fly in the house and release it outside; no one was even allowed to swat them. She was strict with recycling; you didn’t dare have her catch you put recycling in the trash. That is a part of who she was; loving, passionate, eco-friendly, and she followed all the rules.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 6th, 2026 in Port Whitby at the Avalon Lounge 301 Watson St W, Whitby, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
