Elder Udo Elijah Akpan

Udo Elijah Akpan passed away peacefully at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of late Elizabeth Akpan. Loving father of Token, Elijah (Carine), John (Joy), Emmanuel (Adebukola). Cherished grandpa of Daniel, David, Carel, Jeremiah, Eliana, Kizitere and Andino. Son of the late Elijah and Serena (nee Udo Bassey) Akpan Ikpat.

Fondly remembered by all his family and friends. A devote Christian, a minister of the Word of God, Udo will always be remembered for his love for singing, caring for everyone around him and sharing the message of God's love to many, with no fear. A retired college professor, his ability to communicate drew admiration from both colleagues and students alike. Udo cherished his family dearly.

A funeral service for our late father, Udo Elijah Akpan, will be held at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King St. W. Oshawa, ON L1J 2L4, on Saturday, May 25, 2024.

Viewing: 11:30am - 1:30pm.

Service: 1:30 - 2:30pm.

This will be followed by the Burial Service at the Oshawa Union Cemetery, 760 King St. W. Oshawa ON L1J 2L3. (a few blocks away).

The Akpan family will be receiving guests, relatives and friends shortly after the ceremonies, at 3 Bruntsfield Street, Courtice, ON.
