COOPER, Vance Bryson (Veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force) Peacefully at Comfortable Alternative for Seniors on Saturday, May 4th, 2013, in his 97th year. Dearly beloved husband of 71 years to Marguerite (nee McKay). Loving father of Joy Stringer (Dale), Vance Edward “Ted” (Anne), Doug (Anna). Cherished grandfather of Michael (Emma), Christopher (Kate), Cathy (Steve), Jennifer (Brent), Kelly (Brad), Ryan (Deb), John (Margo) and great grandfather to Nolan, Lily, Cale, Dawson, Austin and Lauren. Survived by his sister Audrey McKee (Jim) and sister-in-law Jacqueline Cooper and predeceased by brothers Bill and Grant and sister Lenora Stapleton. “Vance was a strong gentle man loved by all.” Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, May 10th from 2:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
