Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 14th, 2013 at the age of 87. Loving husband of Nettie. Devoted Dad of Rita, Ben (Colleen) and Wilma. Cherished Opa of Rebecca (Jarek), Jeremy, Sarah and Julie, and Great Opa of Ella and Adrian. Bill will be missed by extended family in The Netherlands. He will be gracefully joining his late parents and five siblings in Heaven. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, August 19th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Prayers Monday at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CATHOLIC CHURCH (903 Giffard St., Whitby) on Tuesday, August 20th at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
