Charles "Chic" Guiler, 95, of Ossian passed on June 23, 2026. Chic was born on February 15, 1931, in Bluffton, Indiana, son of the late Ralph A. and Mary Esther (Likely) Guiler. Charles was an accountant and had worked at Colonial Mortgage for over 20 years and later worked at Medical Protective, retiring after 23 years of service. He married the love of his life, G. Diane (Gordon) on March 16, 1957. He was a member of the Lions Club and the Fort Wayne Senior Golf Association. Chic enjoyed volunteering at the Embassy in Fort Wayne and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Charles is survived by his son Douglas Guiler; grandsons, Gregory (Danielle) Guiler, Matthew Dathe, and Jonathan (Danielle) Dathe; great-grandchildren, Oliver and Chloe Dathe and one on the way; and son-in-law, Loren Dathe. He was also preceded in death by his wife, G. Diane (Gordon) Guiler; daughter, Anita Dathe; and infant son, Lynn. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, Indiana 46777, with visitation one hour prior. Burial to follow the service at Stahl Cemetery. Contributions in Charles name may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
