Dorothy I. (Irey) Kammer, 90, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011. She was born on May 31, 1920 to the late Walter and Laura “Irene” (Dietz) Raab. She retired from Northern Wells Community Schools in 1975. She attended Ossian United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and also being in the Sewing Club for 50 years and the Wells County Home Extension. Surviving family include her daughter, Laura (Eric) Rankin of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Chad (Toria) Hoag of Virginia, Nathan (Tanya) Hoag of Ossian, Andrea (Matthew) Kent of Indianapolis; and 7 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Irey and second husband, Marvin Kammer. A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian with calling three hours prior to services. Memorials may be made to the Ossian United Methodist Church.
