

Edward N. Crismore, 92, of rural Uniondale, passed away, Sunday, May 11, 2014 surround by his family. He was born on July 14, 1921 in Fort Wayne. He worked as a quality lab tech for Phelps Dodge and also as a radio announcer. He graduated from Rockcreek high School in 1939 and attended Wittenberg College and Carthage College. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the U.S.O.. He was an avid stamp collector and also Lionel O-gauge train collector. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church-Uniondale and attended there over 87 years, Anthony Wayne Stamp Club, and Maumee Valley Railroad Club. Surviving family include his wife of 63 years, Avon (Wellendorf) Crismore; children, Sheryl (Ray) Mitchell, Jill (Al) Mozena, Debra (John) Enyeart, Ryan (Ann) Crismore, Randy (Mary) Crismore, Noel (Laurie) Crismore; 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Dallas and Flossie Crismore and a grandson, Bradley Paul Crismore. A funeral service will be 10:30 am on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 5912 Sugar St., Uniondale with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Burial will be in Horeb Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church-Uniondale.
