So many stories about Fran, it is hard to pick.

Earliest, she was my boss. During the job interview I made an IU reference, only to find that she was a Purdue grad and was from Kentucky. Still got the job, though. I was still training, when I was told to take a printout to Fran. She looked at it, looked up, and completely deadpan said "The Romans used to shoot the bearer of bad tidings."

I remember a trip to Boston, with Fran and Mona, for some software training. First day there, we take the train to South Station. Fran wanted to go to Legal Seafood. She took a look at her tourist map, and we started heading directly there, through some shady areas, past dim-sum restaurants and shops with bootleg DVDs. Didn't matter, we were going to get to that restaurant, come Hell, high water, or Chinatown!

Dear Family,

You have been much on my mind since Frances’ passing and we are praying that God’s grace will bring you peace. We would like to be with you for the celebration of her life, but are scheduled to be in North Carolina celebrating our grandson’s 4th birthday; a different kind of life celebration. Lives on earth end while other earthly lives are just beginning. We are thankful that a loving and gracious God has made provision for us to live on in Glory with Him forever where painful goodbyes won’t be needed. May you find comfort in God’s promises and joy in precious memories of your dear sister.

Always and forever you will be my big sister.
Too many memories to list, but they are all precious because you were in them. This leaves me as the oldest living sibling. I hope I will carry that as well as you did. You take a piece of my heart with you. A hole that will be there as long as I live.

Love, Margetta
