Frances J Melching

Frances J. Melching, 90, of Ossian, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on October 31, 1923 in Fort Wayne to the late William and Pearl (Walker) Mackey. She worked as a LPN at numerous health care facilities including Caylor Nickel Clinic and retired from Ossian Health and Rehabilitation in 1988. She was a member of Ossian 1st Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her sons, Doug W. (Tressa) Melching of Fruitport, MI, and Robert D. (Patricia) Melching of Ossian; four grandchildren, Chris (Nicole), Jessica, Nick, and Joseph; one step grandson, Brandon; one great grandson, Zachary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Melching in 2001. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian, IN with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Preferred memorials may be made to Ossian 1st Presbyterian Church or Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center.
