Goldie Ivy Genska, 69 of Ossian, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025. She was born on March 29, 1956, in San Diego, California, daughter of the late Samuel and Irene (Gutierrez) Parcell. Goldie was a dedicated member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church for over 15 years. She enjoyed traveling, going camping, and watching hockey and football. Goldie had a passion for helping people, cooking, reading, and playing Yahtzee. She would often be found watching a Christmas movie any time of the year. Goldie is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas Genska; children, GoldieMarie (Christopher) Berkey and Thomas Genska; and her siblings, Samuel Parcell, Paul Parcell, Brent Parcell, Brenda Parcell, and Ruth Huerta. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Emily Mills. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 5, 2025 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church 14623 Bluffton Road Yoder, Indiana 46798, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, Indiana, 46777, with a rosary service beginning at 6:30pm. Burial to follow the service at St. Aloysius Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
