Helen Brindle

Helen J. Brindle, 96, passed away on Tuesday, Septmeber 18, 2012. She was born on November 8, 1915 in Wells County to the late Lester and Lulu (Schwartz) Caley. She worked as a homemaker and on the family farm. She was a member of the Uniontown Church of Christ and their Ladies Aide. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, working in her flower and vegetable garden, and especially baking her wonderful pies. Surviving family include her daughter in law, Sandra Brindle of Huntington; granddaughters, Laura (Aaron) Westfall of Liberty Center, Dawn (Faron) Ferrell of Huntington; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Jewel Brindle, and a son, William Brindle. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-6 pm on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Woodburn Children’s Christian Home. Burial will take place at Uniontown Cemetery.
