Janice Springer-Moser, 80, of rural Ossian, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021. Born March 25, 1941 in Wells County, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. Hilsmier and Monice Anderson Hilsmier. She married Dean R. Springer in 1960, who preceded her in death in 1995. She married Carson Moser in 2008. She retired from International Paper in 2001. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, in rural Fort Wayne. Janice is survived by her husband, Carson Moser of Lakebay, WA; her son, Kevin Springer of Fort Wayne; her two daughters, Tamera (Andrew Powell) Springer of Fort Wayne and Jody (Scott) Burnworth of Dundee, FL; her brother, Ron (Mary) Hilsmier of Marshfield, WI; along with granddaughters, Kinsey Springer of Fort Wayne, Amber DeHaven of Fort Wayne, Alexa Baird of Dundee, FL, and Kylie Wonderham of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, Cole Burnworth and Brody Burnworth, both of Dundee, FL; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 19633 Thiele Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819 with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM Saturday at Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials in honor of Janice’s memory may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
