What a breath of fresh air Jay always was! Originally I new him from many years ago, but when he was looking for a cleaning gal I stepped in to help Tucker and him. He was always full of stories and constantly talked about his girls and grandkids! What a sweet kind man that will be missed by many. Prayers to you all

The comfort of having a friend may be taken away, but not that of having one.

As long-time friends, and former neighbors, Bobbie and I were saddened to learn of Jay's passing. He was a delight to know, and brought much joy to everyone he encountered. We were even privileged to baby sit for Tucker occasionally. Jay was a good friend to all, and will be greatly missed. It was an honor to know him. May he rest in eternal peace. Jay was a helpful insurance consultant for us through Northern Wells Schools. But in the last few years we were able to know Jay on a more personal level as we traveled in group tours together to Alaska and England/Scotland/Ireland. He was fun, adventuresome, and well-liked. He shared commendably about his dear daughters (all Norwell grads!)
and showed a twinkle in his eye regarding his sweetheart Jill. Your vigor for life will always be a memory, Jay.

We met Jay as the corporation insurance guy, but he quickly became a trusted advisor and friend. Loved seeing him at events with and in support of his grandkids - he couldn’t talk about them enough!!!
Prayers for peace and comfort to Jay’s family, and all of the friends who were like family. God bless.

When Chanda and I roomed together at I.S.U. during the '88-'89 school year, Jay got us tickets and took us to the indoor track championships at the Hoosier Dome. While we were walking through the halls to get to our seats, Chanda and I met Carl Lewis. I'll never forget how tall he is!

Jan and I were sorry to hear about Jay. We are glad we had the opportunity to know him over the past few years after hearing many great stories about Jay from my brother, Jim.
