Joy A. Rice, 82, of Ossian, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013. She was born on October 2, 1930 in Huntington to the late Dee and Ada Murphy. She worked and retired from Memcor, Inc. after 25 ½ years. She was a member of Living Faith Missionary Church. Surviving family include her sons, David (Pam) Rice, Terry Rice, and Jeff (Carol) Rice; brothers, Tom, Jack, and John Murphy; 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Frank Rice; and sisters, Phyllis Brumbaugh and Bonnie Day. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington. Memorials may be made to Living Faith Missionary Church.
