Julia A. McAfee

JULIA ANN McAFEE, 59, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015, at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born July 18th, 1955, she graduated from Norwell High School in 1973. After obtaining a computer tech degree at IPFW, she worked at Bowmar Inc, the pioneering Fort Wayne electronic calculator company. Julie continued working in Information Technology, supporting the early, growing use of computers in industry at Waterfield Mortgage, in Fort Wayne, United Technologies in Huntington, Philips Automotive in Auburn, the German-based Mannesmann Automotive and finally Continental Automotive in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Julie loved reading and going to the movies and had a lifelong interest in NASA and space exploration. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Ann (Moser) McAfee and is survived by her father, H. Dewight McAfee, two brothers, David (Rose) McAfee and Daniel (Cindy) McAfee, one sister, Lynda (Rod) Myers, nine nieces and nephews, seven cousins and seven aunts and uncles. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Preferred memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse.
