Matthew D. Cannode

Matthew D. Cannode, passed on September 8, 2026, at the age of 47. He was born on July 16, 1979, in Hardin County, Ohio, son to the late David Wayne and Patricia Ann (Schwartz) Cannode. Matthew worked for XPO Logistics for 9 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, with a love for squirrel and rabbit hunting. He also had a passion and found enjoyment in kayaking, fishing, camping, and hiking. Matthew enjoyed watching and attending Nascar and Indy Car races as well. Matthew is survived by his wife, Monica Houser of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; children, David Cannode of Marion, Ohio, Skylar (Kelsey) Winters of Angola, Indiana, Jordan (Seth) Handy of Ashley, Indiana, and Gabe Houser of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; sister, Kellie Wells of Hardin County, Ohio; mother-in-law, Karen Thatcher of Angola, Indiana; and 8 grandchildren.
