Oscar J. Witte, 83, of Ossian, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1931 in Fort Wayne to the late Otto and Mathilda (Bradtmueller) Witte. He had worked at Allied Mills, Zollner, Inc. as well farming for many years. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, and was one of a kind. He is survived by his wife Ruth (Zehrung) Witte of Ossian; sons, Steven (Paula) Witte of Ossian and Jerry (Michelle) Witte of Hoagland; grandchildren, Clinton (Myra), Zackery (Angela), Rickie (Abby), Elise, Gabrielle, Adam, and Rachel; and great grandchildren, Graham, Jane, Emma, Grayson, and Aria. Funeral service will be Monday, February 16, 2015 at 11 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 6514 E. 750 N., Ossian, IN 46777 with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation will also be on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, IN 46777. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials may be made Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Lutheran Hour.
