Robert J. “Bob” Kling, 88, of rural Yoder passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016. He was born on October 12, 1927 in Wauseon, Ohio to the late Clarence and Vera (Rees) Kling. He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a supervisor with K-Mart Distribution for 34 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of Fairview Church of God and American Legion Post 296. Surviving family include his children, Larry Kling, Pam (Tom) Heckber, Robin (Doug) Dafforn, Scott (Linda) Kling; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Betty M. (Confer) Kling, and a grandson, Dustin. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian with visitation one hour prior and Pastor Brian Heckber officiating. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 5-8 pm on Friday, January 29, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian. Memorials may be made to Family Life Care.
