IN THE CARE OF
Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home
Shane Kissinger, 30, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at his home. He was born August 30, 1988 in Whiteside County, Illinois. Since the day of his birth, Shane's life was on borrowed time due to a congenital renal issue. We were blessed to have Shane 22 years longer than expected due to his father, Brian, giving him a kidney. Shane had attended Palominas Elementary School in Palominas, AZ and Norwell High School in Ossian, In. and was currently employed at McDonalds in Ft. Wayne, In. After high school, Shane had a wandering soul and traveled around the United States creating memories and making friends along the way. Sometimes, this world was a hard place for him to be in but along with his journeys, he loved to crack jokes, enjoyed all aspects of music, found comfort in animals, and finally found a love he could call his own in Briana. He had a kind and gentle heart and will be missed by those of us who loved him. He is our Angel now, and may He finally know peace. Shane never had any children but he was the loving son of Melissa Hortien (Karl) and Brian Kissinger (Laura); brother to Andrea Griffin (Ethan) and Jordan Kissinger (Marissa); step-brother to Kristen Hernandez (Ozvaldo); and Adam Hortien; grandson of Estil & Beth Kissinger, Eileen Weizenbaum, and Harvey Ross; nephew of Robin Couch (Randy), and Brad Kissinger; and is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. The family will have a private graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, IN at a later date. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.elzey-patterson-rodak.com for the Kissinger family.
