Timothy Keith Hinrichs

Timothy Keith Hinrichs, 65, of Huntington, Indiana, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on August 8, 1960, to the late Vondale and Elnora (Myers) Hinrichs.

Tim worked as a flooring installer for over 40 years, where his strong work ethic and craftsmanship left a lasting mark in countless homes and businesses. Beyond his work, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures—watching sports and classic black-and-white westerns, bowling, fishing, gardening, traveling, and listening to music. He was also a lifelong sports enthusiast, proudly cheering for the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cubs.

Above all, Tim’s greatest happiness came from the time he spent with his children and grandchildren, who were the center of his world. Tim will be remembered for his humor, warmth, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the countless memories shared with those he loved most.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cindy Hinrichs; his daughters, Amber (Jeff) Shatto, Cierra Hinrichs, Melissa (Tyler) Wiedenhoeft, and Michelle Hinrichs; grandchildren, Kinsley, Rhett, Claire, Emerson, and Archer; brothers, Mike (Julie) Hinrichs and Ronald Hinrichs; sister, Robin Jackson; and his beloved dogs, Chesney and Marley. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gregg and Tony Hinrichs, and sister, Karen Stabler.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, Indiana, 46777. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, also at the funeral home, with an hour of visitation prior. Burial will follow at Hoverstock Cemetery. Contributions in Tim’s memory may be made to the Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute.
