Viola P. Smith, 100, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at River Terrace Estates, Bluffton. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Lucetta Lomont. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the Poe Volunteer Fire Department Aux. Surviving are sons, Ronald (Marcella) Smith of Bluffton and Jean (E. J.) Smith of Fort Wayne; daughter, LaDonna (Leo) Burke of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd F. Smith in 1995. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 14623 Bluffton Road, Yoder, IN. Visitation will be on Friday, June 24, 2011 from 2 to 8 P. M. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, IN. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials may be made to masses, St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, or Poe Volunteer Fire Department.
