Donna Lou Solovitch

She was born January 14, 1952 in Oneonta the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Hill) Lent.

For over 25 years, Donna was a machinist at Amphenol. She retired on January 1, 2014.

On October 7, 2007, Donna married Andrew Solovitch at her son Sean’s house in Brainbridge.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and helping others. But most of all, Donna greatest love was her family, especially her precious grandchildren. She treasured the time they shared together.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Andrew Solovitch of Otego; two sons, Sean Farrell of Sidney and Christopher Farrell of Oneonta; three step children, Jane and Dan Utter of Bergen, NY, Kristopher and Taka Solovitch of Laurens and Teri Solovitch of Oneonta; her step mother, Mabel Lent of Oneonta; 12 grandchildren; eight siblings, Morris and Marjorie Johns of Cheraw, SC, Phyllis and Bill Bell of Oneonta, Arthur and Pam Lent of Columbia, SC, Keith and Margaret Lent of Portsmouth, VA, Dean and Linda Lent of Oneonta, Betty Jo and Billy Cox of Staunton, VA, Brian Lent of Otego and Karen and Wayne Clouse of Unadilla; close friend, Beverly Garcia of Cobleskill; as well as several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband and the father of her sons, Robert Farrell and sister, Shirley Johns.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 34 River Street, Otego from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with the Mother Suzzane Cole Pastor of the Christ Episcopal Church, Walton officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Otego Evergreen Cemetery.
