Margaret A. Fickett

She was born June 5, 1937 in Walton, New York.

Margaret received her diploma from Walton Central School.

She was first married to Junius W. Rowell in June 1956. He predeceased her. She then married Albert E. Fickett on June 8, 1963 in Scarborough, Maine. Albert predeceased her on December 31, 1990.

For many years, Margaret worked at Astrocom Electronics in Colliersville until her retirement. She then worked at the Otego Truck Stop as the cashier.

She enjoyed collecting teddy bears and lighthouses, crocheting, gardening, tending to her plants and scrap booking. Margaret was an avid puzzler. She was always doing puzzles and no puzzle was too difficult. Her family always went out of their way to find the most difficult puzzles possible and she would always be able to put them together. But most of all, Margaret loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by her companion, Glenn Stafford of Otego; five children, Maggie Reinmann and spouse, Rodney Decker of Delhi, Wayne Rowell of Waterboro, ME, Eugene Rowell of Oneonta, Harold Fickett of Morris and Lorena Spaulding and her spouse, Dwayne of Unadilla; nine grandchildren, Phillip and Matthew All, Natasha Rowell, Tiffany Rowell, Paula Powell, Veronica and Joseph Fickett, Trisha Stafford and Kyle Spaulding; five great grandchildren; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Rowell on December 2, 1995.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at The Fellowship Baptist Lighthouse Church on Covered Bridge Road from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the church at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Michael Amos officiating. Burial will be in the Otego Evergreen Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
