

He was born November 19, 1962 in Oneonta the son of Leo and Agnes (Sperry) Rous.
Tracy was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Unatego Central School the Class of 1981.
Tracy was a logger and owned and operated Rous Logging in Otego for many years.
He was an avid outdoorsman. Anything to do with the outdoors he loved to do it. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, coon hunting, riding horses, gardening, working in the woods and playing softball. Tracy also enjoyed supporting the Unatego wrestling team. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend who will be forever missed.
Tracy is survived by his four children, Tyler, Michael, Kyle and Karaline Rous all of Otego; his mother, Agnes Rous of Otego; two sisters, Deanna and Richard Sperano of West Fulton and Carol Rous and David Fisher of Sidney Center; his best friend and logging dog, “Buddy”; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Leo Rous in 2003 and his brother, Andrew K. “Andy” Rous in 2008.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 34 River Street, Otego from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 5:00 PM. Following the funeral service there will be a gathering at the home of Warren and Shelly Yager in West Laurens.
