Ruth Virginia Smith

Ruth V. Smith, age 93, of Othello Washington, passed away March 26th, 2014 at Avalon Care Center in Othello. She was born in Scituate, Rhode Island on December 24th, 1920 to parents Louis and Mable (Edwards) Menard. Ruth grew up with eight siblings in Providence, Rhode Island, where she also went to school and graduated High School. She was married to William Andrew Smith on October 2nd, 1939 in Seabrook, Massachusetts. William passed away January 13th, 1999. Ruth occupation was as a home maker, which she had a passion for. Her family was her life. She is survived by a Son and Daughter-In-Law, Steven and Bonny Smith of Richland Washington, Daughter-In-Laws Rosalie Smith of Granite Falls, and Annie Smith of Othello, and numerous grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Richard Allen Smith, and William Andrew Smith Jr, and her eight siblings; Milton, Norma, Dorothy, Earl, Alvina, Richard, Loretta, and Lloyd. Funeral arrangements will begin with a Viewing at 10:00 am, services will begin at 11:00 am, April 4th, 2014, at Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello, Washington with burial to follow at Royal Memorial Gardens in Royal City, Washington.
