Yolanda Garcia Esquivel

Yolanda G. Esquivel, age 61, of Othello Washington, was taken into the Lord’s care June 23rd, 2014 at Avalon Care Center. She was born in beautiful Aguililla, Michoacan, Mexico on March 2nd, 1953 to parents Aureliano and Elena Esquivel. She grew up and attended school in Aguililla. She was married to Salvador Cardenas. He passed away 1978. Yolanda was primarily a house wife, caring for her children, who were raised in Mexico. She was a member of the Catholic Church and had a passion for cooking; her Chilis Rellenos and Mole de Pollo are of special note. She, and her cooking, will be dearly missed. She is survived by her children; Salvador Cardenas of Spokane Washington, Maria (Eriverto) Cardenas of Othello Washington, Rigoberto Cardenas of Othello Washington, Jose Navor (Shanna) Cardenas of Royal City Washington, Mariana Ramires (Santos) Villanueva of Portland Oregon, Rosita Ramirez of Twin Falls Idaho, and Noe (Lin Don) Ramirez of Ketchum Idaho, siblings; Juana Esquivel of Mexico, and Javier (Martha) Esquivel of Mexico. Yolanda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Alma Karina Ramirez, and siblings; Aureliano, Felipe, Omar, and Rigoberto Esquivel. A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a Rosary at 6:00 pm, June 27th, 2014, at Stevens Funeral Chapel.
