Peacefully at The Ottawa Hospital on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the age of 86 with her daughter at her side. Born March 3, 1933 in Hamilton, Scotland, Agnes emigrated from Scotland to Canada in 1957. Reunited now with her husband of 56 years, Peter (2016) and her beloved parents, Denis and Mary, brothers Joseph and Thomas, and sisters May, Rose, Annie, Alice, and Kate. Agnes was deeply loved and will forever be missed by her daughter Marie (Darling) and son-in-law, James of Ottawa. Survived by her sister Betty in Scotland, and remembered by many nieces and nephews. Marie and James wish to extend heartfelt thanks to staff at The Ottawa Hospital, especially Dr. Janet Davis, Dr. Alison Dugan, Dr. Douglas Dorward, and nurses Nina and Rebecca in AMA for their thoughtful care. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) Ottawa (613-737-7900) on Friday, September 27 after 12 noon, followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1pm.
