Passed away peacefully at the Perley-Rideau Veterans Health Centre. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Frances (nee Ryan) and survived by his son, Shelby Michael (Grazia) and daughter Keri-ann; grandchildren Tracy (Khal), Tony, Ryan (Ashley) and Lisa (James) and great-grandchildren Kaitlen, Andrew, Justin, Thomas, Gabriella, Anissa and Joshua. Tony, a WWII RCAF Spitfire pilot, is best remembered locally as the "Golden Boy" of Ottawa Rough Riders fame both before and after WWII. Services to be held at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road. Visitation on Friday, October 21st from 7-9 pm followed by funeral services at 11am on Saturday, October 22nd.
