Very sad news. I also remember the rides to and from Ottawa for work.
My family will miss the swims and rowing the boat when we visited the Wakefield area. I am so happy I stopped by for a visit on my last trip to see family.

Barry, you have always been a kind friend and giver of your time here. May you rest in peace.
Leo Renaud, Nepean, ON

You were an amazing teacher. Teaching us how to fish. Then how to clean and scale/skin them. You were always willing to watch us when we went back to the lake for a swim. I sat for so many hours on the end of your dock fishing, such wonderful, peaceful memories. Thank you, God Bless, Rest in Peace and Love, Barry.

Thank you for everything you've done for our family. It was a real pleasure sharing all that time with you. You'll truly be missed!

Thanks for teaching me how to fish and keeping a watchful eye out when I was back for a swim. I remember especially going for a swim with you after haying and all the hay seeds that would float to the surface! Lots of good memories. Rest in peace Barry.

My family was blessed to have known Barry. A better role model for how to live your life would be hard to find. Rest in peace my friend.

You will be missed in the community by all. I still remember you driving me to & from work when I first started in the government.

Barry, I will always remember you when I look at the hand carved paddles mounted on my wall! Rest in Peace!
