Barry passed away at the May Court Hospice, just 4 days shy of his 72nd birthday, with Kathy (nee Gadbois), his soul mate of 50 years, by his side. Loving father of Kim Koenjer (John) and Derek Warren (Tammy); grandfather of Tyler and Katie Koenjer, and Rodney and Samantha Warren. The family would like to thank the peer support from the Brain Injury Association of The Ottawa Valley, Vista Centre, numerous caregivers, and especially Dr. Coulombe who made it possible for Kathy to keep Barry at home until 3 days prior to his death. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, on Friday, November 6 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 7 at St. Leonard’s Church, 5332 Long Island Road, Manotick at 11 am. Donations may be made to the Brain Injury Association of The Ottawa Valley or the May Court Hospice.
