Boyd died peacefully with family by his side January 28, 2016. He was born in Scotland and graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MA in modern languages.He was a Board Member of the National Energy Board until his retirement. Boyd was a long time member of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf club where, unless there was too much snow, he played the game that he loved. He was also an avid skier.Boyd will be deeply missed by his wife Joy, his children Chris (Paula), Janice (Carlo) and Graeme (Diana), and his grandchildren Brian, Sean, Marisa, John, Ian, Meggie and Vivian.The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
