Peacefully at home, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday April 27, 2020 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Lynda (née Harris). Loving father of Mark (Chantal) and Melissa (Stephan). Cherished grandfather of Liam, Clara, Meah and Daneeka. Brother of Brenda (the late Brian Moore), Gail (the late Dave Beattie and Ray Douaire), George (Cathy). Son-in-law of Ruby (the late Owen Harris). Brother-in-law of Richard Harris (Judy). Predeceased by his parents Earl and Mabel (Halverson), sisters Joanie and Joyce and grandson Thomas. Will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Known for his love of holidays with family, camping, sports, music, olives and mince meat tarts. His love of telling stories would last hours as he struggled to catch his breath from laughing so hard. He was one in a million, a man of few words and was loved by everyone he knew. Special thanks to Dr. Bencze, Dr. Scully, Dr. Pantarotto, Dr. Vickers and the Toronto Liver Transplant team. The care and support you all provided was immeasurable. Visitation and funeral service to be arranged at a later date at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road.
