Christopher Paul Chong

Christopher was predeceased by his beloved parents, Leila and Christopher Chong, and one dear sister. He leaves behind his cherished wife, Bibi Linda Chong, with whom he shared 25 years of loving marriage. Christopher was a proud stepfather to Jonathan (Maggie) and a joyful step-grandfather to Jaxon and Jayden, who brought him immense pride and joy.

He is lovingly remembered by his five sisters and one brother, as well as his extended family including three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Christopher had a zest for life that was contagious. He was known for his warm hospitality, love of entertaining, and a generous heart that was always open to others. He loved spending time on the golf course, where he found both joy and relaxation in perfecting his swing and sharing laughs with friends. He also enjoyed peaceful days by the water, fishing with patience and delight, always ready to tell a good story between casts. A passionate home cook, Christopher took pride in preparing meals that brought people together, often filling his home with the comforting aromas of his favorite dishes.

He especially cherished traveling the world on cruises, discovering new places and creating lasting memories. He was a master at finding a good deal, always on the lookout for bargains, and never passed up the chance to stock up when he found one—often to the amusement of those around him. Christopher was selfless and dependable, always the first to lend a helping hand, and touched the lives of many with his kindness and heart of gold.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025 at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, from 5pm to 9pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 12th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at The Good Shepherd Parish, followed by burial at Pinecrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Villa Marconi Centre, in honor of Christopher’s generous and caring spirit.
