We are sending virtual hugs since we can't talk with you in person . It is a terrible thing at any time but now when you have to be isolated it must be so tough. We love you. Please take care.

Claude - you were a wonderful person; an amazing husband, father, grandpa, uncle, friend, and second dad to many of us. You are already, and will be dearly missed by many! I have so many fond memories of you. Having been such close friends with Jessie since we were about 12, I don’t know where to begin! You taught Jessie how to drive like a pro! And unlike my parents, as soon as she got her license, you and Penny had no problem giving her the keys! Haha! And we cruised...all the time! You trusted your daughters...and for the most part, we did behave. I loved spending such a big chunk of my teen years hanging out at your place. You always offered wise words and advice to us. I recall a period of time when Jessie was in college where you all of a sudden got a bit strict with her, and tried to implement curfews. We were like: what’s happening?! Haha. Maybe it’s because you were trying to hold onto your little girl for a bit longer :) Although we didn’t listen, that was a sweet gesture! I will also cherish the memories of having Chinese food dinners with you and your family on many Christmas eves, the trips to the cottage, bumping into you and Penny at the casino and just hanging out at your place. I will miss seeing you walk your precious Coco up and down Paul Anka Drive. Rest in sweet heaven Claude! I take comfort in knowing you are at peace! Love you dearly! Tasha

My condolences go out to Penny and the extended family.

Claude worked tirelessly for his community of Arbour Green, both as president of the Board of Directors and, later, as someone whose advice you could seek given his vast experience in managing our condominium complex. He was a wonderful neighbour and fellow dog walker. Even in the last few years, as we had innumerable chats over my backyard fence while I was tending to the BBQ, Claude always seemed optimistic about life and never failed to relate a humorous anecdote. Claude will definitely be missed at Arbour Green.

Sincerely, Ken Bonell

To Claude's family,
My sincere condolences to all of you. I met Claude as a participant at my fitness classes. He worked hard and always had a kind word (or joke) after class. We kept in touch during his illness and I admired how he remained positive and optimistic during his journey. RIP Claude.
