Cherished son in law to Andre Berthelotte (Starr Laplante) and the late Louise Cameron Berthelotte. He will be missed by his extended family, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents William Watters and Therese (nee Chaput) and his sister, Kimberley Anne.
David retired after 35 years at Agriculture Canada where he made many lifelong friends while there. David had a passion for travel, campfires and entertaining friends and family. He loved his labs and will be missed by his girls, Bella and Molly.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate David’s life on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON. A Funeral Service for David will follow in the Chapel at 12:00pm. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Ottawa Humane Society.
