It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Denis Robert Frenette. A man who worked with the Canadian Dairy Commission and the Canadian Space Agency. An explorer in his own way, Denis embarked on his final voyage on 11 May 2025, leaving behind an avid enjoyment of the stars, constellations, and planets, of basset hounds and cheese, computers and early gaming consoles, and a collection of cows. His home offered the warmth of coffee, and of fresh-made bread. While he has departed us in the physical sense, his spirit remains to explore the final frontier: becoming his own bright star in the constellation of the lives he has touched.
He was the son of the late Gratien Frenette. He will be missed by his family and friends, including his mother Thérèse Frenette, his grieving wife Denise Patenaude, his daughters Laurie and Stephanie, his grandchildren Meghan, Morgan, and Tallulah, his sisters Pierrette (Roger) and Lise (Denis), his brother Michel. He was predeceased by his brother Pierre.
