Dora was one-of-a-kind. Married to husband Jack for 55 years, she was mother to Peter, Cathy, and Nancy, mother-in-law to Beverly and grandmother to Jennifer, Megan, Terri and Kelly. She played the piano so we could sing, and baked cookies when we studied for exams. She encouraged us to do volunteer work, and to think of others. She took us to church, and she led by example. The family would like to thank the staff of Windsor Park Manor for the care and love they gave our mother. A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, 217 First Avenue, Ottawa at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
