Peacefully at Renaissance residence in Aylmer, QC surrounded by her family on Wednesday July 20, 2016. Beloved wife of Gilbert Gauvreau for 66 years. Loving mother of Mark (Jocelyne), Robert (Liz), Paul and Michelle (Kevin O’Sullivan). Special Nanny of Natalie, Christine, Connor, Ryan, Stacey, Mike and Pat, and great grandmother of Tyler, Alix, Smith and Parker. Predeceased by her siblings Phyllis, Kevin, Greg and Robert. Her life defined genuine kindness, love and humility. Never a complaint about the hardships of life and always a smile and questions about how her “little Darlings” were doing. Nanny will be remembered always, for her heart of gold and of course her Irish tales. The best wife, mother, aunt and nanny to us all. You will always be remembered for your kind and gentle ways. Love the family. A special thanks to the caring staff at the Renaissance for their compassionate care. Doreen`s family will receive relatives and friends after 11am on Monday, July 25, 2016 at McEvoy Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road), followed by a service in the chapel at 12 Noon.
