It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Anne Tobin, She was a beloved wife, mom, grandmother, great-grand mother, mother-in-law, sister and friend to so many. Dorothy/mom put up a good fight (which was mom) to the very end but succumbed to her illness in the early hours of June 1, 2021. She will be greatly missed, but we are happy that she has gone to a better place to play some cards and visit old friends. To quote her last written words to all of us “take care of each other”, enjoy the peace Mom and we will see you again, Love you. A very special thank you to our mom’s angel who took care and made our moms day better every day: Betty – you are family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the future at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy, can be made to the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Society of Canada.
Our family would like to thank the many amazing people that came through our Moms life – Amara/Anike who kept mom walking until the very end.
The many amazing PSW’s and Nurses at Park Place who were there to take care of our mom every day with a smile and a helping hand.
Carol and Susan who made miracles happen when mom needed them. The nurses and doctors at Elisabeth Bruyère who were there at the end for our mom, you are amazing.
