Douglas Earl Davis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Earl Davis. Douglas left this world peacefully on January 26, 2025 at Ottawa’s St-Vincent Hospital. Born in Toronto, he was raised in Ottawa by his maternal grandmother Alice Barbe. He was the spouse of the late Rachelle Ouellette and the caring father of Connie Turpin (Claude Turpin) and of Michael Davis (Laurie Frenette).

He leaves in mourning his grandchildren Madison, Tristan, Claudia, Caleb, Zackary, Dylan and Aria as well as his good friends Ron Langill and Ron Kirk.

Douglas was predeceased by his brother Gary Davis.

Our family wishes to thank the staff at the Ottawa General Hospital as well as the staff at St-Vincent Hospital for the excellent service and care that they provided. We appreciate everything you did for our father.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 5, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa, Ontario, K1L 1B4). The family will be receiving condolences as of 9:30 am..

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

C’est avec regret que nous annonçons le décès de Douglas Earl Davis. Il nous a quittés paisiblement le 26 janvier 2025 à l’hôpital St-Vincent d’Ottawa. Né à Toronto, Douglas fut élevé à Ottawa par sa grand-mère maternelle Alice Barbe. Il était le conjoint de longue date de Rachelle Ouellette et le père bienveillant de Connie Turpin (Claude Turpin) et de Michael Davis (Laurie Frenette).

Il laisse dans le deuil ses petits-enfants Madison, Tristan, Claudia, Caleb, Zackary, Dylan et Aria ainsi que ses bons amis Ron Langill et Ron Kirk.

Douglas fut prédécédé par son frère Gary Davis.

La famille désire remercier le personnel de l’hôpital Général et de l’hôpital St-Vincent pour les bons soins prodigués. Nous apprécions tout ce que vous avez fait pour notre père.

Un service funéraire aura lieu mercredi le 5 janvier 2025 à 10h30 dans la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier (180 chemin Montréal, Ottawa, Ontario). La famille recevra les condoléances dès 9h30.
