Edmond John Mohan

Born in Kingston ON and raised in Odessa ON,he is the eldest son of the late Hugh and Bertha (Melville) Mohan. John graduated from Regiopolis College in Kingston, and studied for his teacher’s degree at Peterborough Teacher’s College, Queen’s University and the University of Toronto. He taught in North York and Leeds and Grenville Public School System. John was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara (Lisage) and brother Melville. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Rita, step-daughter Lisa (Robinson), son Paul and family, sister Sheila, sister-in-law Nancy, and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road), on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 10 am at Holy Cross Church, 685 Walkley Road. Cremation to follow. The burial of John`s ashes will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cardinal, Ontario.
