Edna was born on July 27th, 1933, in Stanstead (Rock Island), Quebec to Mary Margaret (nee Summers) and Donald Leslie. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto, which laid the foundation for her professional life. She was a dietitian at the Reader’s Digest, and at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal in the 1960s. Her career with the Public Service in Ottawa spanned more than two decades before retiring to her beloved bungalow in Alta Vista. Among her many interests, she most enjoyed travel, painting and gardening. The photographs she captured on her journeys often became a painting.
She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her brothers Donald Raymond and Thomas James (Clare), as well as her nephews Kevin James (Suzanne) and James Edward.
She will be remembered with great love and affection by her nephew Stephen (Nancy), her sister-in law Clare, and her great-nephews/nieces Mark, Thomas, Joseph, Adam, and Marisa.
