Peacefully, at St. Patrick’s Home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Dr. David Clapin (1956) and the late Douglas French (2011). Loving mother and stepmother to Leanne French, David Clapin (Enid Cameron), Richard French (Cindy), Peter Clapin (Darquise Paquette), Dayv French, Kathryn Clapin, John Clapin and Daniel Clapin (Réjeanne Viel). Much loved grandmother of Elizabeth and Margaret Clapin; Zachary Clapin; Francois and Olivier Clapin; and her two angels Samantha and Sylvain Clapin. Survived by her brother Jerry Harrington (Mildred) and sister Toni Prud’homme (the late Dr. Peter). Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, on Tuesday, October 22 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass Wednesday, October 23 at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Patrick’s Basilica, 220 Kent Street.
