On Tuesday, January 25, 2011, in her 90th year, surrounded by the love of her family, comforted by her faith, Mom (a.k.a Nana) has gone to join her long-time dancing partner and the love of her life, Stewart. Elsie leaves to celebrate her life her 4 children Jan (the late Claude Langelier), Wendy (Clément Bergeron), Scott (Sylvie), and Glenn (Bonnie Beecher); her 9 grandchildren Isabelle (Sheldon Lewis), JoAnne (David Houston), the late Jeffrey, Matthew (Kate Hillyar), Nicholas (Anneke Thomson), Christopher, Gregory, Jacob and Oliver; and 6 great-grandchildren Kelsey, Jeremy, Claudia, William, Samantha and Daniel. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion), Ottawa on Friday, January 28 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Manotick United Church, 5567 Manotick Main St., at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 29.
