Born in Pichl, Austria, Erich was known for his strong work ethic, generous heart, love of people, and his ability particularly after retirement to “fix anything”.
His greatest legacy was his genuine care for people, which was reciprocated by everyone who met him, at all stages of his life.
He is survived by his loving daughters Carol and Sandra, his sister Erika, and his nephews along with their families, who he also adored. He was predeceased by his wife Hildegard (“Hilda”).
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 in Newmarket, Ontario starting at 5:30pm. In order to plan numbers appropriately, the family requests you to RSVP to either Carol or Sandra at your earliest possibility.
