Dear Scott, We are so very sorry about your loss. We never got to meet Erica but Your Mom and Dad mentioned her often and how she was battling cancer.Also at one time things were getting better. How wonderful that you two were able to be married . We got to see the airing on CBC last night and then Jolene was able to find and forward all the pictures to me. Erica did look beautiful and it looked like a very lovely wedding. You both have been in our thoughts since your Mom let us know the news. We were watching CBC this evening and saw the story of your beautiful wedding. We were very saddened to hear that Erika was so ill and then to learn of her passing. Our thoughts are with you, your parents, Lisa and her family, and Erika's family.

I just saw this on CBC. I lost my mom to cancer this Monday...I'm so so so sorry you had to go through this awful process. You seem awesome and surrounded by all kinds of love, you clearly were a sweet and awesome person. My heart goes out to you, your husband, family and friends. Accck I'm tearing up.

I am sorry in this note is considered an intrusion.  I did not know your daughter Erika or her family.  We lost our own daughter, Hilary, to breast cancer in January of this year also at age 28 and after an almost six year battle.  We want you to know that strangers are praying for your daughter and her family and hope that you find comfort and peace in the months and years ahead.

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Please accept my condolences, Erika will not be forgotten.  Fatima Brown

We're so sad to hear about Erika's passing. We first met her at the 67s games, and her passion for life was very clear. She was a happy go lucky lady and she'll be missed by many.

I met Erika in line at the LWL Garden Party luncheon, we talked for several minutes, she let me know of her battle with cancer. She showed me she was a brave and wonderful human being. It is with sadness that I express sincere condolences to Erika's family.  I watched Erika, as her piano teacher, grow from a little girl to the wonderful young woman she became. As Erika grew, we began to often spend time chatting and sharing as much as we shared music.  We always said goodbye for the week with a smile, and felt a little sad to say "see you in the fall" when school was out for the summer. Today, sure that Erika is resting in peace, with her spirit souring  pain free, it is still a very difficult goodbye.  My heart is heavy for the loved ones she has left behind. God speed Erika.
