Fernande C. Moreau, née le 1er juillet 1934, est décédée le 3 novembre à l’âge de 85 ans et 4 mois. Elle était la fille d’Alice Lévesque (St-Pacôme, Kamouraska) et de Florent Moreau (St-Malo d’Auckland, Estrie). Dernière de cinq enfants, elle a été précédée dans la mort par trois sœurs et un frère : Florence (Marc St-Denis), Rita (Patrick Gilbert), Véronique (Gérald Lepage) et Ferréol (Géraldine Champeau). Elle laisse dans le deuil son filleul, Nicolas-Alexandre, et ses deux protégés Paul et Myriam, enfants d’une grande amie Liliane, décédée en 2015, et neveux et nièces : Carol et Richard Gilbert (Liliane Gosselin) fils de Rita ; André et Michel Lepage (Lyne Laroche), fils de Véronique et cinq des six enfants de Ferréol : Pierre (Johanne Lambert), Louise (Richard Rouleau), Diane (Sylvain Madore), Suzanne (Michel Couture), et Francine (Vincent Lévesque) ainsi que des cousins et cousines.
Plusieurs amis, collègues, voisins et étudiants se souviendront d’elle comme d’une femme de tête, de cœur, de parole et d’action. Elle faisait tous les efforts nécessaires pour que sa parole exprime adéquatement sa pensée et quand elle donnait sa parole, elle l’honorait. Son dynamisme était contagieux.
Les visites auront lieu au salon funéraire Racine Robert et Gauthier, 180 chemin Montréal, Ottawa (Vanier), On, K1L 1B4 le 23 novembre de 19 h à 21 h et le 24 novembre de 13 h à 14 h. Cette dernière visite sera suivie à 14 h d’une célébration de la parole et d’un témoignage hommage à la chapelle de la maison funéraire. Une réception suivra à la maison funéraire également après cette célébration. L’inhumation des cendres aura lieu à une date ultérieure à Sherbrooke, au cimetière St-Michel.

Fernande C. Moreau was born on July 1, 1934 and passed away on November 3, 2019 at the age of 85 years and 4 months. She was the daughter of the late Alice Lévesque (St-Pacôme, Kamouraska) and of the late Florent Moreau (St-Malo d’Auckland, Estrie). The youngest of five children, she was predeceased by her three sisters and by her brother: Florence (Marc St-Denis), Rita (Patrick Gilbert), Véronique (Gérald Lepage), and Ferréol (Géraldine Champeau). She leaves behind her godson Nicolas-Alexandre and her two protégés Paul and Myriam, children of her dear friend Liliane who passed away in 2015. Fernande also leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Carol and Richard Gilbert (Liliane Gosselin), sons of Rita ; André and Michel Lepage (Lyne Laroche), sons of Véronique; and five of Ferréol’s six children: Pierre (Johanne Lambert), Louise (Richard Rouleau), Diane (Sylvain Madore), Suzanne (Michel Couture), and Francine (Vincent Lévesque), as well as many cousins.
Fernande’s several friends, colleagues, neighbors, and students will remember her as a woman of heart, mind, honour, and action. She made every effort to ensure that her words adequately expressed her thoughts, and when she gave her word, she honoured it. Her enthusiasm was contagious.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate and remember a life well and truly lived at Racine, Robert and Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa (Vanier), ON, K1L 1B4 on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm on Sunday in the Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will take place following the service in the reception hall of the Funeral Home. The burial of ashes will be held at a later date at St-Michel’s Cemetery in Sherbrooke, QC.
