George and I were great friends when Howie and Shawn were young.  I got him his job at Beacon Hill Lodge. I have many fond memories of George and saddened to hear of his passing.

To Shawn and Howie: Meeting  your Father in 1976 at the old Wesst End Villa, now Sterling Place(deserted)was, is, one of the best friendships I've had to this present time. His generosity, his kindness to the Ladies, was always something to watch, and behold. He never had a hateful thing to say to any one, and if you needed the shirt off his back , not only would he give it , but he would botton it up to.My wife Elaine loved him, my two Daughters loved him,"The man with the cool hats." Forty years is a long time, but in the scheme of things, when he is your brother,one of your best friends, it is all too short. Our deepest sympathies to the whole family on the loss of a great man. My dad(Frank) & George were friends since I was born, cooking together at the "Lodge". Then many years later my husband(Steve) started working there & became fast friends with George as well. I will always remember him as the cool guy at my dad's work with the awesome hat, who gave me my first nintendo, my kids will remember him as the nice guy who always gave them mango & papaya when we would visit him. We will all remember him as a great friend. George, you will be missed by all.
