George Z Skaff

Beloved husband of the late Carime, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the age of 96. Predeceased by his parents the late Zacharia and Marie Skaff, and his late brother Elie.

Loving father of Madona (David Koren), Steve, and Anita. Cherished Jidou of Sarah Louise Koren.

He was a loving and amazing uncle to many nieces and nephews.

George was a generous man who never hesitated to help relatives and friends. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humour and the stories he would tell.

He leaves behind his brothers and sister, Nicholas (Lody), Samira (late Jean Choueiri), and Robbie (Suzanne).

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday February 4th, 2026 from 6 – 9 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road.

Funeral will be at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa on Thursday February 5th at 11am. Internment at Hope Cemetery.

Fortieth Day Mass will be on March 22, at 10:00 am. at St Elias Church. To be followed by a coffee reception.
