November 25th, 1935 – March 1st, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Grant at the young age of 77. Predeceased by his loving wife Janet Bagdoo-McPhee (Dec. 26th, 2012) and his parents Annie Etta (Grant) and Arthur McPhee. Survived by his son Michael (Celine Lavigne) and his daughter Patricia (Lionel Marks de Chabris); grandchildren Alexy, Augustin and Nathalie; brother and sisters Lindsay, Marjorie, Sheila and Isabelle; and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and so many friends. He was a proud maritimer who had distinguished careers with the RCAF and the RCMP. A man who could never stand still, he continued in retirement his many hobbies and interests. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of St. Patrick’s Home, 2865 Riverside Drive, Ottawa. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation (General Campus ICU) and the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A very special thank you to all members of the Intensive Care Unit of the Ottawa General Hospital who were so incredibly kind and caring.
